Terms & Conditions - the basics

1. Definitions

 

Client: The individual or entity engaging Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair for services.

 

Services: All tasks, projects, and work undertaken by Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair as agreed upon with the Client.

 

 

2. Scope of Work

 

A detailed description of the services to be provided will be outlined in a written agreement prior to project commencement. Any modifications or additions to the original scope must be documented and may result in adjusted costs and timelines.

 

3. Estimates and Pricing

 

All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days. Prices are subject to change based on factors such as material costs and project scope adjustments. Any changes will be communicated and agreed upon in writing before proceeding.

 

4. Payment Terms

 

Payment schedules, including deposits, progress payments, and final balances, will be clearly defined in the service agreement. Accepted payment methods include cash, checks, and major credit cards. Late payments may incur additional fees as stipulated in the agreement.

 

5. Permits and Licenses

 

Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair will obtain all necessary permits and licenses required for the execution of the project, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

6. Warranties

 

We stand by the quality of our workmanship and offer a one-year warranty on all services provided. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials used, and any claims beyond our workmanship warranty should be directed to the respective manufacturers.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

 

Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair is fully licensed and insured. While we commit to delivering quality work, we are not liable for:

 

Pre-existing conditions or structural deficiencies not disclosed prior to project initiation.

 

Damages resulting from misuse, neglect, or alterations made by the Client or third parties after project completion.

 

Incidental or consequential damages beyond the scope of the project agreement.

 

 

8. Dispute Resolution

 

Any disputes arising from our services or agreements shall be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, the matter will be subjected to binding arbitration in Knox County, Tennessee. Each party will bear its own legal fees, and any awards determined by the arbitrator shall be final and binding.

 

9. Governing Law

 

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.

 

10. Termination

 

Either party may terminate the service agreement with written notice under the following conditions:

 

By the Client: If Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair fails to perform the agreed-upon services or breaches any material term of the agreement.

 

By Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair: If the Client fails to make payments as agreed or otherwise breaches the terms of the agreement.

 

 

Upon termination, the Client agrees to pay for all work completed up to the termination date.

 

11. Changes to Terms

 

Stonebrook Woodworking & Home Repair reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients are encouraged to review this section periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes made.
